Swelling, Scar Tissue and Incisions
After surgery the body sends fluid to the treated area, and swelling can last for weeks. Light lymphatic strokes guide that fluid toward working lymph nodes, routed around incisions and drain sites rather than over them. As healing goes on, some areas can feel firm or uneven while scar tissue forms; we watch for that, keep the work gentle, and tell your surgeon if anything changes.
We never massage open incisions, and we don't use cavitation, radiofrequency or vacuum on post-surgical tissue.
Questions about your own body? Book a session or a consultation and we'll talk it through.
